We are looking for a buildings professional to help us expand our retrofit planning service. In addition, we expect to be recruiting for additional roles later in the year.
Loco Home Retrofit Community Interest Company Ltd is a growing startup non-profit, structured as a voluntary co-operative of over 140 households and construction/renovation professionals with a paid staff. We are creating collaborative services that make better retrofit more accessible for more people.
We are now looking for a buildings professional to deliver our retrofit planning service. This involves surveying home condition, heritage, fabric efficiency and heating systems. Then using our software to produce recommendations and, through discussion with the households, arrive at an outline improvement plan. Pending some funding decisions, we also hope to recruit the following roles later this year. We would like to hear from anyone considering these roles to help us shape the role around the right team mate.
A Retrofit Community Development Officer who will support and grow our voluntary membership of households and buildings professionals.
A Project Manager who will support the delivery of our grant-funded and sub-contracted projects. This will involve community building, research, report writing and project coordination.
A Senior Technical Coordinator who will support delivery of the planning service. They will work with households, designers and contractors to specify and procure installations. In addition, they will help develop our approach to neighbourhood-scale retrofit including ‘bulk buy’ of installations.
