We’re expanding our team with new roles following social investment from the Postcode Innovation Trust, thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
These are senior roles in an innovative and growing sustainability enterprise, covering:
- Marketing and community engagement
- Technical leadership
- Innovation programme
THE STORY SO FAR
Over the past year we have passed important milestones in our development as a start up social enterprise. You can read more about this in our impact report. Highlights:
- Delivering our holistic Whole Home Plan and hand holding services to dozens of households, guided by the best standards of sustainability and consumer protection. (Short film about this on YouTube).
- Providing support to expand the local network of tradespeople for green home upgrades including builders and heating engineers.
- Breaking ground towards scale retrofit, stimulated by Community Based Social Marketing.
- Completing research to make green home improvement more accessible such as heat pumps in ‘challenging’ dwelling types and upgrading tenements.
- Matured our governance structure, driven by over 300 householder member-owners.
INVESTMENT PLAN
Social investment from the Postcode Innovation Trust enables us to add capacity and expertise to support expansion. Our five year plan is to:
- Grow our householder advice service 10 times over.
- Support local tradespeople to tap £millions of new, better work
- Complete critical research and innovation around i) neighbourhood scale services, ii) solutions for tenements, iii) expanding the contractor base.
- Further strengthen our community-led governance and cooperation.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
Your fit with our values and mission is as important as your skills and experience.
We’re open to part time and flexible arrangements. We are recruiting 3.0 FTE but this might be four new heads. Schedules between 0.6 and 1.0 FTE are up for consideration.
Career changers. Transferable skills from other sectors are welcome (except for the Technical Manager role).
Flexible start dates. While we would prefer to have new colleagues join us as soon as possible, we have some flexibility. We will review applications as we receive them and will have filled all the new roles by July at the absolute latest.
