WE’RE HIRING!

Following recent commercial success we are looking for new staff members.

ABOUT US

Loco Home Retrofit Community Interest Company is a non-profit social enterprise owned and governed by over 300 households. We were founded to address the climate crisis, and in particular to advance the move away from fossil fuel heating in Greater Glasgow.

We do this by operating a homeowner advice and coordination service that addresses real problems around home comfort, damp, energy bills, resilience to climate change impacts and future proofing.  We help homeowners to navigate the risky and confusing journey of selecting and installing appropriate home insulation, ventilation, heating and renewable energy improvements.  We help local tradespeople and SMEs develop their skills and build prosperous businesses.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

Your fit with our values is as important as your skills and experience.

We’re open to part time and flexible arrangements.

Career changers. Transferable skills from other sectors are welcome.

Diverse perspectives. We want the broadest range of applicants to choose from. Don’t rule yourself out – let us make that decision.

VALUES

We are treating climate change as an emergency.

As a cooperative we aim to build a better kind of economy that works for people.  Read about the international cooperative movement’s values and principles.

The Staff Values prioritise ownership, earning trust, external focus, inclusion and prudence.

“Being a small team with big ideas, Loco Home encourages pragmatism but also imagination. I’m never bored with my work, and feel fortunate to have such a strong and passionate team around me. Although sometimes it feels like you’re swimming up stream (that’s retrofit?), there is such a drive to get the job done and do right by our customers and the climate crisis that it doesn’t matter.”
